R27 000 per month plus benefits

Anesthesia Sales experience advantageous


Salary and Benefits in the region of the below: (Depending on the experience of the successful candidate)

  • Annual Basic Salary (Inclusive of 13th month Cheque)  ZAR 351,000
  • Monthly Car Allowance of ZAR 7,245 + Company Provided Fuel Card
  • Monthly Expense Allowance of ZAR 1,055
  • Provident Fund (10% employer contribution, 7.5% employee contribution)
  • Medical Insurance, Via Discovery – (part employer and part employee funded depending on the level of cover and the number of dependents covered)
  • On Target Sales Incentive of annually ZAR 57,000


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Scientific or medical / paramedical degree – strong scientific background
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales experience within Healthcare Industry / Hospital environment / medical sales

Duties and responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue, sales, profit & qualitative objectives and targets for the assigned therapies and / or medical products within own geographical or business area
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned customers & plan visits with them
  • Build and develop professional long-term customer relationships
  • Prepare, implement and review targeted account plans aligned with the commercial policies defined by Company
  • Plan and prepare for each customer visit and record outcomes
  • Propose and provide each customer with appropriate solutions that will maximize opportunities both for the customer and for Company
  • Communicate all relevant information to existing and potential customers to guarantee their awareness of Company product portfolio and its benefits
  • Acquire new customers
  • Capture and maintain all relevant sales and customer data
  • Gather and share with other sales reps and with line management all possible information on market intelligence and competitor activities to help anticipate competitive moves
  • Maintain presence in all existing & target customers
  • Deal with customer complaints & implement corrective actions
  • Continuously assess the market for new customers / opportunities / risks for Company products
  • Finalize budgets and forecasts in cooperation with line management / Marketing
  • Present Company products & their advantages, organize & distribute all needed promotional material and organize test usage where needed
  • Participate in congresses and other customer events
  • Provide customer training and support / assistance where needed
  • Works closely with Product Managers, Account Managers / Reps and Sales Support
  • Identify tender renewal and respond to tenders with support of line manager / Marketing (where applicable)
